Due to the sales cap according to § 38 AMG (1), the following products are currently only available for delivery again in Germany from January 2027 onwards: Ginkgo-Dryopteris comp. Urtica-Sambucus comp. Daucus comp.

In the interest of long-term availability, we decided in 2024 to launch some plants (and mixtures) in the form of food supplements. The food supplements are distinguished from the medicinal products by their packaging and naming.
This also affects the three combination products Alchemilla comp. (NEW: Ceres Frauenmantel Kombination), Hypericum comp. (NEW: Ceres Johanniskraut Kombination) and Valeriana comp. (NEW: Ceres Baldrian Kombination). Their composition included, among other things, plants in the form of homeopathic dilutions, which are not provided for in food supplements. These plants are no longer contained in the respective successor products. We are convinced that the successor products with simplified composition represent an appropriate alternative.
Important: The familiar Ceres quality remains unchanged even with the food supplements. This only concerns a small part of our products. The vast majority of Ceres fresh plant extracts will continue to be available as homeopathic medicinal products. All products are available through pharmacies and pharmaceutical wholesalers with the respective (new) PZNs (pharmaceutical central number).

Ceres is the name of the Roman goddess of plant growth. In Greek mythology, the goddess of plant growth is called Demeter.
“Ø” is the symbol for “mother tincture”. All our mother tinctures are indicated with the Latin name and the symbol “Ø”.
Homeopathic medicinal products are not defined by their active ingredient content, but by their manufacture according to the regulations of the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia (HAB). Mother tinctures are produced according to the HAB and serve as starting materials for the production of homeopathic dilutions. Therefore, under medicinal product law, they are also classified as homeopathic medicinal products, even though they are not diluted. They are labelled as "Homeopathic medicinal product" on the packaging. In homeopathic dilutions (so-called dilutions), the active substances are present in such low concentrations that their analysis is unnecessary. Homeopathic medicinal products are recognised as having mechanisms of action beyond just the active substances.
No. Bach flower essences contain no active ingredients and therefore act purely on the psychological level. Ceres products contain active ingredients that have an organotropic effect. This means that a kidney remedy truly stimulates the kidney to improve its function.
General dosage: 1 – 3 times daily 1 – 5 drops. The maximum dosage for an adult is 15 drops per day. The average guideline for an adult is between 6 – 9 drops of a mother tincture, e.g. 2 – 3 times daily 2 – 3 drops.
For very sensitive patients, the so-called water glass method is recommended: add 1 – 2 drops of the respective mother tincture to a drinking glass (approx. 150 ml) of water, and take small sips several times a day. Please also observe the patient information of your Ceres medicinal product, as some specify a dosage there.

Up to three Ceres medicinal products can be taken on the same day. However, do not mix them. To ensure that each individual plant can develop its full effect, when taking two or three Ceres medicinal products, the following dosage forms are recommended: take the prescribed number of drops of each medicinal product in the morning, at noon, and in the evening, at intervals of 15 minutes.
/ Take the mother tincture in a little water or directly into the mouth
/ Take the mother tincture before eating, as no other flavour should be present on the oral mucosa
/ Wait 15 minutes before taking the next preparation
/ Take the last mother tincture 15 minutes before eating
Yes, however, these should disappear after no more than three days. Ceres medicinal products are taken in very low dosages. Please adhere to the dosage instructions provided by your healthcare professional. After two weeks, you should notice an improvement in your symptoms.
3 drops of mother tincture contain less alcohol than a ripe banana or a glass of orange juice and are harmless.
In cases of alcoholism, alcoholic medicinal products should be avoided on principle and psychological grounds, even if the amount of alcohol per dose itself does not pose a risk.
The dropper bottles used by Ceres are designed so that, with proper handling, you can easily dose the correct number of drops. If you experience any problems with dosing or accurately counting the drops, please refer to our dropper instructions.
Homeopathic medicinal products without indication are intended for individual therapy, with indication and dosage recommended by the healthcare professional. Therefore, dosage instructions and applications are generally not printed. Products for which further information is required due to authorisation regulations include a package leaflet.
BPZ significantly increase the ecological and logistical effort. Therefore, only those products for which further information is required due to approval regulations have a BPZ with us.
Ceres medicinal products require a pharmacy to be taken, but do not require a prescription. They are available in every pharmacy. Should Ceres medicinal products not be in stock, these will be ordered by your pharmacy from the wholesaler within a very short time. Direct ordering from Ceres is not possible for legal reasons.

The print on the bottle provides information about the shelf life of the products. To optimise shelf life at home, it is recommended to store the products in the dark and at room temperature. What matters is whether a bottle has been opened and how much air it already contains. If a bottle is half empty, it should not be kept for years as oxygen causes degradation reactions.
Although Ceres mother tinctures are often twice as expensive to purchase as mother tinctures of the same medicinal plant from other manufacturers, they are significantly more cost-effective when calculated per daily dose due to the much lower dosage.
